RecordAware Refund and Correction Policy — Texas Beta
Version: 2026-09-02.tx-beta-v1
Effective: September 2, 2026
1. Before payment
Leaving or canceling the hosted checkout before a payment is completed does not create a completed purchase. If no payment is captured, there is nothing to refund.
2. Duplicate or incorrect charges
If RecordAware or its payment flow causes a duplicate charge or charges an amount different from the amount presented for the purchased Trip Check, RecordAware will correct the transaction and refund any amount that should not have been charged.
3. Technical failure or nondelivery
If payment is completed but RecordAware cannot provide the purchased Trip Check because of a material RecordAware technical failure, RecordAware will first attempt to restore or provide the purchased service. If the purchased Trip Check cannot reasonably be provided, RecordAware will issue an appropriate refund.
4. Source or processing errors
If a Trip Check materially misstates a cited source, uses the wrong source, applies a material RecordAware processing error, or contains another material RecordAware-caused error, contact RecordAware with the report or order information and the issue identified. RecordAware will review the issue and, when appropriate, provide a corrected report. If a material RecordAware-caused error cannot reasonably be corrected or materially defeats the purchased service, RecordAware will provide an appropriate refund.
5. Customer-supplied information
A Trip Check depends on the information supplied by the customer. An inaccurate, incomplete, or later-changed customer fact does not automatically require a refund after a personalized Trip Check has been produced. RecordAware may provide a correction or rerun when reasonably appropriate.
6. Changed plans, changed sources and third-party decisions
A change of travel plans, dissatisfaction with an unfavorable research result, a later change in law or policy, or a decision by a court, government agency, supervising authority, carrier, hotel, attraction, cruise line, immigration authority, or other third party does not by itself make the original Trip Check defective or create an automatic refund.
7. Correction-first approach
When a problem can be fairly resolved by correcting the report or restoring purchased access, RecordAware may use that remedy before issuing a refund. This does not affect a refund required by applicable law.
8. How refunds are issued
Approved refunds are sent through the payment processor to the applicable original payment method when available. Bank or card processing times may vary after RecordAware submits the refund.
9. Charge disputes
Customers are encouraged to contact RecordAware about a suspected duplicate, technical failure, nondelivery, or material report error so that the issue can be investigated promptly. Nothing in this policy limits any payment-dispute or consumer right that applicable law does not permit to be limited.
10. Contact
Refund and correction requests may be submitted through the support or contact method made available in the RecordAware service.
